The ACT Multi Academy Trust Strategic Plan for 2025–2028 sets out our roadmap for sustained improvement, inclusion, and educational excellence across all our academies. Rooted in our core Christian values of Agapé, Courage, and Thankfulness, and guided by our ethos to "Think it, Believe it, Live it," this plan ensures every child flourishes academically, socially, and spiritually.
A central concept of our strategy is the "golden thread," which explicitly links our internal moral purpose and vision with the rigorous national standards set out in the Department for Education’s (DfE) Trust Quality Descriptions. This guarantees that our spiritual mission directly drives world-class educational standards.
To achieve this, our strategy is built upon seven core strategic priorities:
- Vision, Ethos & Strategic Direction: We are cultivating a unified, Christian values-led culture that shapes leadership, behaviour, and strong community and church partnerships.
- Academy Improvement: We are implementing a unified, data-driven performance framework to raise educational standards consistently, with a specific focus on closing attainment gaps for disadvantaged and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) pupils.
- Quality of Education & Curriculum: We are committed to delivering an ambitious, highly sequenced, and inclusive curriculum in every academy, reinforced by exceptional teaching and reliable assessment.
- Safeguarding, Inclusion & Personal Development: We prioritise 100% safeguarding compliance alongside trauma-informed practice, extensive wellbeing support, and a reduction in exclusions to ensure an equitable, supportive environment.
- Leadership & Governance: We are actively building strong leadership pipelines and succession plans while ensuring our Local Governing Bodies and Trust Board provide robust, accountable oversight.
- Finance & Operations: We ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence through balanced budgets, equitable funding, and value-for-money procurement, enabling maximum investment back into the classroom.
- Compliance & Risk: We maintain a proactive culture of risk management and strict statutory compliance to serve as the "guardrails" protecting our students, staff, and assets.
Our Ambition By the end of this three-year framework, our goal is for all our academies to be recognised for delivering high-quality education, exceptional safeguarding, and meaningful inclusion. Through strong leadership and sustainable finances, we aim to prepare every learner for a life of purpose, contribution, and success.
