ACT Leaders of Excellence are highly accomplished practitioners who model, lead and strengthen teaching and learning across the trust. Carefully selected for their credibility, expertise and proven classroom impact, ALEs extend their influence beyond their own schools to support improvement, innovation and professional development across ACT.
Seconded to the central team, ALEs work closely with the Deputy CEO and the Director of Equity and Improvement to translate trust priorities into classroom practice. Their work includes modelling high quality teaching, coaching colleagues, leading professional development, contributing to curriculum refinement and supporting structured quality assurance and school improvement cycles.
Through outreach visits, targeted support and cross trust collaboration, ALEs help to embed consistent, evidence informed practice across our academies. They play a key role in strengthening leadership capacity, improving outcomes and building a culture of professional excellence and shared responsibility.
At ACT, the ALE programme reflects our belief that the strongest system improvement comes from outstanding practitioners working together. By investing in internal expertise and creating structured opportunities for collaboration, we ensure that best practice is shared, standards are sustained and every pupil benefits from high quality teaching.
